Daniel Piotrowski began his career as a Miami-Dade prosecutor before dedicating his practice entirely to defense. That experience means he understands how the State builds a case from the inside — how charging decisions get made, how evidence is assembled, and where those cases tend to be vulnerable. Today he puts that knowledge to work on the other side of the courtroom.

He founded the firm on a simple principle: every client deserves a lawyer who answers the phone, explains the process honestly, and prepares each case as if it is going to trial. He represents clients across the full range of state and federal charges and is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Miami-Dade County Bar Association.

Carmen Reyes joined Piotrowski Law Firm as an associate committed to the same standard of preparation and client care that defines the practice. She works closely with clients through every stage of a case, from the first consultation through investigation, negotiation, and hearings, and is known for explaining complex proceedings in language people can actually understand.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Carmen makes sure that Spanish-speaking clients and their families are never left guessing about what is happening or what comes next — an essential part of serving the communities of Miami-Dade and Broward County.

Marcus Ellison spent his early career at a commercial litigation firm before joining Piotrowski Law Firm to build its Business Law division. Seeing how business disputes unfold in court shapes the way he counsels owners at the front end — structuring companies, drafting agreements, and flagging the risks that tend to turn into lawsuits later.

He advises owners from formation through disputes, including contracts, partner and shareholder conflicts, the purchase or sale of a business, and employment issues for employers. When a business faces a government investigation, he works alongside the firm’s criminal defense team so the company and the people involved are protected under one coordinated plan.
