Our commitment
Piotrowski Law Firm is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to people of all abilities. We believe that access to legal information should not be limited by disability, and we strive to provide a website that is usable by everyone, regardless of how they browse the web.
Standards we aim to meet
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
What we’ve done
In building and maintaining this site, we have worked to incorporate accessibility-minded practices, including:
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and landmark regions;
- A “skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation;
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and clearly visible focus styles;
- Text and background color combinations chosen with contrast in mind;
- Descriptive labels on form fields and meaningful link text;
- Alternative text or appropriate hidden labeling for non-text content; and
- Respect for the “reduced motion” setting for visitors who prefer less animation.
Ongoing efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time task. We periodically review the site and work to address issues as we become aware of them. As we update content and add pages, we test against our accessibility goals and make improvements where we can. We recognize that some areas may not yet be fully accessible, and we are committed to continuing to improve.
Third-party content
Some content or functionality on this website may be provided by third parties, and we may not have full control over its accessibility. Where we identify such barriers, we work to find accessible alternatives or solutions.
